We offer a unique blend of Counseling & Psychotherapy, Skill Development Coaching, Consultation & Advocacy, as well as Recreation Therapy, emphasizing an understanding of neurodiverse perspectives and experiences. Our services are designed to empower individuals to navigate their mental health challenges, develop essential life skills, and advocate for their needs within a supportive and inclusive environment. 

Meet Cindy

Spencer Neurodiversity was founded by Cindy Spencer, a Licensed Clinical Counselor, Board-Certified Behavior Analyst, and Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist who has proudly been a beacon of compassionate and effective mental health services for over twenty years.

Cindy's wealth of experience working with individuals with neurodiversity ensures a deep understanding of their unique challenges and strengths.

At Spencer Neurodiversity, we are committed to fostering a community of empathy, understanding, and empowerment where individuals can thrive and be supported in their journey toward mental and emotional well-being.

About Spencer Neurodiversity

Our mission is to provide compassionate and empowering support to individuals and families navigating neurodiversity and mental health concerns.

Our practice offers a comprehensive approach, combining therapy, skill development coaching, and consultation tailored to understand and meet the needs of the neurodiverse community.

We aim to embrace and equip individuals with the tools to navigate their mental health challenges, develop essential life skills, and advocate for themselves in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Practice Structure

    • We are an outpatient practice 

    • Sessions are typically 50 minutes

    • We provide sessions virtually or in-office

    • We are real people with verified knowledge, experience and expertise.

Our Scope of Practice

    • We are professionals with verified degrees, licenses and certifications.

    • You are welcome to ask us about our educational history, professional background and areas of expertise! 

    • We are licensed to provide counseling/psychotherapy in Colorado and Texas. 

    • We connect and collaborate with providers in the community to support the best care and resources for our individuals and families. 

    • You do not need a formal diagnosis to receive services and support. 

    • We are happy to be a resource and to provide referrals for services outside of our scope of practice.

  • While we DO provide a continuum of care following the successful participation in the below services and supports.

    We do not cover the following:

    • We do not provide 24-hour, 7-day a week mental health crisis services. 

    • We do not provide intensive treatment for severe, urgent or at risk mental and behavioral health concerns.

    • We do not conduct formal diagnostic evaluations or assessments for Autism, ADHD or other specific neurodevelopmental diagnosis.

    • We do not provide substance use or abuse counseling and intervention.

    • We do not provide intensive, center-based ABA services. 

    • We do not provide treatment for eating disorders.
