  • Individual therapy sessions address behavioral and mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and low self-esteem, with a focus on neurodiversity-affirming and embracing approaches.

  • Counseling/psychotherapy and skill development sessions are designed in collaboration with the individual while targeting their goals.

    •  A fusion of identifying and processing experiences as well as developing and utilizing skills and strategies. 

    • May bring in the individual’s interests with activities such as art, games, and movement to build rapport, encourage engagement and participation, develop insight, support processing while creating a natural experience to utilize skills and strategies.

Skill Development

  • Personalized coaching to enhance executive functioning skills (organization, time management, planning), social navigation skills, independent living skills, and parenting support through coaching and consultation.

  • Skill development coaching is a focused process designed to help individuals acquire, improve, or refine specific skills and abilities such as executive functioning skills, social navigation skills, self-regulation skills and independent living skills. 

    • Assessing current skill levels, identify areas for improvement, and create tailored skill development plans. 

    • An action-oriented approach with an emphasis is on practical application. 

    • Provide tools, techniques, and feedback to help individuals practice and master the desired skills.

    • Aims to empower individuals to take ownership of their learning and development

Parent Coaching & Counseling

Parent Coaching & Counseling

  • Supporting parents in navigating the journey of parenting that includes supporting their children in utilizing skills and strategies, gaining insight, managing challenging behaviors and parent-child communication and collaboration. Individual counseling for parents to support their mental health and well-being.

  • Parent coaching and counseling is a specialized form of support that empowers parents and caregivers to develop effective strategies for supporting their children. It focuses on helping parents enhance their skills, build confidence, and create positive family dynamics. 

    • Providing a supportive space for parents to share their experiences while feeling understood and embraced. 

    • Collaborative coaching to connect, communicate and collaborate with their child while giving support and guidance.

Behavior Therapy

  • Identifying challenging behaviors and the factors that contribute to and maintain them. Developing skills and strategies to manage challenging behaviors and support more positive, healthy, and safe behaviors. 

  • Behavior therapy may be co-occur with counseling, psychotherapy and skill development coaching. It is important to understand both the internal experience of the individual as well as their observable behaviors. Reducing challenging behaviors is one piece of the puzzle, and replacement skills and strategies must be built and reinforced. Sessions are collaborative with the individual and may include parents or caregivers, family members, teachers, and other supports. 

    • Assess the potential antecedents, function, and outcomes of challenging behaviors.

    • Identify and utilize healthy strategies to prevent and manage challenging behaviors. 

    • Build skills and replacement behaviors to support the individual in meeting wants and needs that are positive, healthy and safe.

    • Provide psychoeducation, guidance and insight to the individual and their support system.

Consultation & Advocacy

  • Guidance and support in navigating educational, social, and professional settings, including advocacy for accommodations and resources.

  • Consultation and advocacy involves providing professional, expert advice or guidance within a collaborative process where the consultant 


    • Sharing of knowledge and expertise to help solve a problem or improve a specific setting or situation.

    • Focused on problem solving, and skill development.

    • Actively supporting the need for change, accommodation, and support.

    • Promoting an individual’s rights or interests that would benefit their overall progress and well-being.

    • Raising awareness, education and insight.

    • Gaining access to resources.

Recreational Therapy

Recreation Therapy

  • Support and skill development utilizing recreation and leisure activities to improve and maintain physical, cognitive, social, and emotional well-being. Empowering individuals to achieve optimal independence, health, and quality of life through meaningful engagement and participation in activities such as creative arts, sports, outdoor activities, and social & community integration. 

  • Recreation Therapy uses recreational and activity-based interventions to improve the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social well-being of individuals. (www.cc.nih.gov)

    • Purposeful utilization of activities based on the individual’s interests. 

    • Using recreation as a therapeutic tool to achieve specific outcomes such as skill development, socialization, and developing healthy self-care strategies. 

    • Beneficial in developing an alternative to overuse or dependency on screens and technology

    • Harnesses the power of play, recreation and leisure to promote healing and well-being
